Christmas in Copenhagen
We planned to visit Copenhagen mainly for Christmas in Tivoli Gardens. I have heard a lot of good things about it and thought we should make it this time. It does worth the hype. Unfortunately all 3 of us were very sick with dry cough and cold. So we wanted to make a very simple itinerary keeping Tivoli Gardens as our main goal. We also wanted to make this trip interesting for our little one and so included Aquarium in our itinerary.
Day 1 : Rest
It was a very cold day and we were all very sick. So we thought we could take some rest. We had a nice lunch and slept well. Got up for dinner and slept again saving up all the energy for the next 3 days 🙂
Day 2 : City Centrum

Day 3 : Tivoli Gardens – We really enjoyed the rides and the whole setup here. There are a lot of rides for kids too. It was a Christmas eve when we went there. So they closed it early by 17:30 (usually they close by 23:00) which we didn’t expect and so we thought we can come again the next day.

Day 4 : Nyhavn, Aquarium & Tivoli Gardens
Nyhavn – meaning “New Harbor” is a beautiful place with colorful buildings alongside the canal. It’s very picturesque and must visit. There are a lot of restaurants but we didn’t get to try one as it was very busy. However it was nice to take pictures and walk along the canal.
National Aquarium – We took a metro from Nyhavn to aquarium. It was a very large and wonderful aquarium. My little one enjoyed a lot. We also liked the ambience very much. We were happy to bring our kid here as she was very bored of sightseeing and finally she got to see what she would enjoy.

Tivoli Gardens – We took a bus from aquarium to Tivoli Gardens. Since it was a Christmas day there were some fireworks planned. It was awesome and worth visiting on Christmas day!
