Diaper Bag buying guide

Diaper bag can be any bag that you carry with you when you go out with your child. Some of the basic things to look for while buying a diaper bag is listed below.

Fabric : A water proof lining inside and out will be more practical. It can be wiped clean in case of any leaks or stains.

Carry Type : You have plenty of options like messenger bag, tote bag or backpack. Look for the one that is comfortable to you.

Multiple Compartments : Look for multiple compartments in the diaper bag to keep the stuff organised. It saves a lot of time when you know where to reach for the items you are looking for.

Changing pad : Mostly diaper bag comes with a changing pad that fits inside. Look for the size of the changing pad as most of them are not large enough to be useful especially as the baby grows.

Closure : Look for a solid closure that keeps all your stuff inside even when you drop the bag. Zippers are great when compared to snap button or velcro. Also stay away from velcro which tends to stuck on things.

Insulation : Insulated pockets are great to keep your baby’s water or milk warm or cool.

Stroller clip : This is a good feature that helps you to clip your diaper bag in your stroller. So you can save some space and don’t have to put it in the stroller basket.

Share-ability : Make sure that it can also be used by your partner or care giver. Choose the one that works for both of you.

Once you start using your diaper bag when you go out every time, you can figure out the stuff that you would frequently use. Sometimes you may end up using very less items in your diaper bag depending on the time, place and duration of your outing. You may also prefer your regular tote bag with just water and snacks for your baby when you go out for a short walk.
